ALA generates application error on Windows 2003 SP1

Post by agrikk »

I've installed ALA on Windows 2003 Server with SP1.

When I try to launch it for the first time, the program won't start and I receive the following error in the Application Event Log from Dr. Watson:

Code: Select all

The application, C:\Program Files\Advanced Log Analyzer\ala.exe, generated an application error The error occurred on 11/03/2005 @ 16:47:19.083 The exception generated was c0000005 at address 00A9F4FB (<nosymbols>)

What's going on here?

It's strange. Usually it works fine on Windows Server 2003.
Which version do you have? Are you sure you downloaded it from
our web site:

I had version 1.5 installed, but for some reason it didn't work. I deleted the installation folder and tried again, and now it works just fine.

Thanks for the link.
